What should my child bring?

We provide a morning snack (croissant/pain au chocolat or brioche, and some fruit), but please pack a healthy and balanced lunch as well as water for your child.

Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothes and have a full change of clothes in their bag. We always play outside after lunch and the play area can get muddy if it has been raining. We like to keep the hall and equipment clean and encourage children to change if they are muddy.

We also ask for children to be in socks indoors and to bring outdoor shoes (crocs/ wellies/ trainers for outside are perfect)
– In the summer, please pack a sun hat, suncream, extra water.
– In the winter, please pack suitable warm clothing, wellies and don’t forget a change of clothes!

We have hand sanitiser in the hall but if you would like to bring your own, that is fine.

Are the children really demolishing their construction?

Absolutely!
The children have been waiting for this with great anticipation. Imagine thousands of planks coming down in seconds as a giant domino run. It is so fascinating to watch!

Can I see what my child has been building during the day?

Absolutely, what makes us special is that we create a WhatsApp group and send pictures to parents, so that you can see exactly what your little ones have created.

We also open the doors to parents 15 min before the end of the session so that they can admire the finished construction.

What if it is my child’s first time?

At KAPLA Clubs, we are used to working with children and we understand that it can be difficult for children (and parents) to attend a setting for the first time. We have an excellent caring team and our priority is to make each child feel comfortable. We have children attending from all around Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. We even have children attending from Suffolk and Essex!

Your child will quickly make new friends and as the groups are kept small and we have a very organised timetable, it is not as overwhelming for children. As a mum myself, I do make sure each child is happy, had enough to drink and eat and is enjoying their day with us

What if my child is ill and cannot attend or I want to cancel?

Please let us know if your child is unable to attend and if we have children on the waiting list, we will offer your space and you will be able to get a refund.

If we cannot refill the space, we cannot offer a refund but you are more than welcome to find someone to take your place, just pass on our details to the new parent so that we can take the necessary information.

My children’s school would love that, how can I organise a KAPLA Clubs workshop for my school?

We currently offer amazing STEAM workshops for primary schools all over the UK, prices are from £5 per child.  Please contact us for more details or visit the School Workshop section. We also work with Secondary Schools, Nurseries and Preschools.
